You will need a 3.5 mm hook.  Medium/worsted weight yarn (I use Caron Simply Soft) in White (MC), Chocolate (C2), Cool Green (C3) and Red (C4).  8 or 9 mm green cat safety eyes and a small amount of black DK yarn or black embroidery cotton for the mouth.  You’ll also need scissors, fiber fill and a tapestry needle for sewing it all together.

You will need to know (US terms) Magic Ring (MR), Chain, (CH), Fasten Off (FO), Single Crochet (SC), HDC (Half Double Crochet), DC (Double Crochet), Slip Stitch (sl), Back Loop Only (BLO), Front Loop Only (FLO), Increase (INC), and Decrease (DEC).  I prefer (and almost always use) the invisible decrease as it has a cleaner look, but the choice is yours.  The number at the end of the rnd in is the number of stitches you’ll end up with.
