The Christmas Ribbon socks are my annual Christmas Sock design using Birdstreet Yarn. This year I chose a beautiful pale aqua colourway, to design with, called Iced on their merino nylon stellina base. This colour way reminded me of a certain large New York jewellery store and the lovely ribbons they tie their packages up with. The twisted stitches that I used to form the ‘ribbons’ down the front of the socks are a simple and memorable making these an ideal Christmas cast on or gift knit. This design particularly suits tonal or lightly speckled yarns.

Pattern Information
Sizes: 1 (Adult M, 64 sts)/ 2 (Adult L, 72 sts)
To fit approximately 8-inch (20 cm)/9-inch (22.5 cm) foot circumference.

Yarn: Birdstreet Yarn 4ply sparkle (75% SW Merino Wool/20% Nylon/5% Silver Stellina) 100g/400m (437yds) in the Iced colour way.

Needles: 2.5 mm / US 1.5 (or size needed to get gauge).

Gauge: 8 sts & 12 rounds = 1 inch / 2.5 cm in stocking stitch
