There is no gauge for this pattern as it is free form.
The small E hook is used for joining the points if you can’t get the G hook to fit, and for weaving your ends in.
You’ll need one wire hanger, I used a white one for my project, but the color will be hidden behind your ruffles and crochet.

You may want to cut the hanger hook off with a pair of wire cutters or tin snips, but it is up to you, if you do, make sure to cut above the twist.

I used three colors of yarn, off white, white, and natural, but it is your option to choose what colors fit you.

The center snowflake in the picture is optional, you can embellish as you wish.
