Here are 4 knitting patterns for Christmas gift bags.
I originally designed them to fill with sweets or gifts and then modified them slightly so that they fit a chocolate orange or the tubes of smarties / buttons.
Knit with DK yarn on 3.25mm straight needles

Ideal for hanging from the tree or decorating the Christmas table.

THIS YEAR, THE SWEET MANUFACTURERS ARE USING TWO STANDARD SIZES OF TUBE: -

LONG AND THIN FOR SMARTIES

SMALL AND WIDE FOR BUTTONS, ROLOS ETC.

THESE CRACKER DESIGNS FIT BOTH SIZES OF TUBES BUT CAN ALSO BE USED AS GIFT CONTAINERS.

THE SANTA SACK AND SANTA HAT BAGS CAN BE USED FOR A CHOCOLATE ORANGE OR FILLED WITH SWEETS, GIFTS OR EVEN COINS.

ALL 4 DESIGNS CAN BE HUNG FROM THE TREE OR USED AS TABLE DECORATIONS.

Each bag uses approx. 11g DK yarn, knit on 3.25mm straight needles (4g snowflake for the hat or plain white DK can be used)
Finished size is 11cm x 20cm circumference(approx.)
The crackers use17-18g of DK, knit on 3.25mm straight needles
Finished sizes 30cm/35cm long x 15cm/12cm circumference
