This regal stocking will look very grand hanging from the mantelpiece. The crowns are embellished with sew-on acrylic gems to add an opulent touch and Lurex yarn adds sparkle. If you can’t find DK yarn in gold, a good substitute is Twilley’s Goldfingering – use two strands instead of one to get the best effect.

The pattern is knitted from the top down, so although the chart looks upside down the picture will appear the right way up on the finished stocking.
