Christmas Sweater 2019 is knit from the top and down in one piece with a double neckline that is further shaped using short rows. The piece is first worked in the round, and once the neck is shaped, the piece is then worked back and forth with raglan shaping and an opening at the front left raglan border. Intarsia is used to knit the gnome motif into the front of the jumper and the piece is completed with a rib edge. Mattress stitch is then used to discretely seam the opening and if this is done carefully, the seaming will be close to invisible and you will get an excellent finish. The sleeves are worked in the round either using magic loop or double-pointed needles and they are finished with a rib edge. Once you’re finished knitting, you can use your imagination to decorate your very own Christmas gnome!

Først strikker du trøjen rundt for at danne halsudskæringen.
