Christmas Tree
Crochet Christmas Tree Pattern - Montessori Christmas Stacking baby toy
The Christmas tree is recommended for kids of any age and for adults as well - it can be both a toy and an ornament
Used as a toy, the Christmas tree supports baby’s development: Increases fine motor skills, cognitive development of spatial relations and hand-eye coordination.
The benefits of the rainbow stacking toy:
- Develops children’s motor skills by playing first with the rings and then with the full set
- Develops space orientation
- Supports learning concepts like far-close
- Supports learning concepts like big - small
- Helps the child learn the basic rainbow colors
- Helps the child associate colors
- Children can use it to learn how to count
Make it with green, white (or whatever other color you like) and you can use it as an ornament - it works perfect in the living room or in the bedroom.
Difficulty level: Easy
The tree has around 23 cm height (crochet hook: 12 UK = 2,5mm = C2 US, but please note that I use thicker yarn which recommends 6 UK/ 5mm / H8 US hook so that my work looks neater)
This pattern is written in US terminology. If you are from UK don’t worry, the only difference between US and UK terminology in this pattern is the “single crochet (sc)” which is a double crochet for you. As you can’t mix it with any correspondent term I hope you will find it easy to follow.
