About this pattern:
Use this pattern to make fun double thickness, double sided crochet Christmas Trees. You can use them as gift tags, make a cheery garland or hang them individually as baubles on your tree. Detailed instructions including photo tutorial and charts are included. Learn how to add beads to your work and decorate with surface crochet. Both US and UK crochet term patterns are included, as well as left- and right- handed versions.

This pattern is suitable for improving beginner crocheters.
Finished trees are 11-12cm tall.

You will need (for ten trees):

  • 100g/125m of green 4ply or sport weight mercerised cotton (e.g. Scheepjes Catona or Schachenmayr Catania). This will make ten trees. Use different shades of green for variety. Each tree will need ~10g of green yarn
  • Small amounts of mercerised cotton in white (15g/20m), contrasting green (15g/20m), and brown (7g/10m) to make leaves, snow and tree trunks
  • 6mm wooden beads, approx 14 per tree
  • Red yarn, ribbon or string to hang your trees
  • 3mm (D/3) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
