Bring a touch of handmade magic to your holiday decor with this crochet Christmas tree Gnome wreath.
This fun and festive crochet pattern features a light up Christmas tree hat and motif white beard.

Materials
All weights are approximate and will vary depending on the brand of yarn you choose and how tightly you crochet.
For this wreath I used:
Stylecraft special Aran - for the cover, beard and star. (4 medium weight)
Lion Brand Aran Yarn Vanna choice - hat (4 medium weight)
Stylecraft special DK- baubles (3 light weight)
Any yarn in the same sort of weights will work for this pattern.

Aran white 160g
Aran green 120g
Aran parchment 15g
Aran yellow-scrap amount.
Then you will need scraps for the baubles in any colours of your choice.
I used, red, light blue, blue, orange, yellow, pink, lilac, white and purple.
Small amount of toy stuffing for your gnomes nose and baubles.
20cm /8 inches polystyrene wreath.
Battery powered wire string of 20 Led lights (optional) -Amazon purchase.

Useful items
Stitch markers.
Stitch counter.
Darning needle.

Hooks required
2.5 mm
3.5mm

This pattern uses US terms and is worked in a spiral so using stitch markers is highly recommended 

Ch = chain stitch

Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Tr = treble crochet
Inc = increase 2 stitches in one stitch

Dec = Decrease. (crochet 2 stitches together)
FLO = work in the front loop only
BLO = work in the back loop only
Picot = Picot stitch, (chain 3, sl st back into the first chain) makes a pointy bit.
Shell = Shell stitch. 1sc, skip 2 stitches, 7dc into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches repeat.

This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge.
It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.
