Christmas Tree x Two
A perfect way to make the most of any leftover yarn. This pattern uses double-knitting, resulting in two sides of stocking stitch, one a perfect reverse-colour duplication of the other.
The pattern deftly goes with the tightening effect of repeated decreases, deliberately placed next to the tips of rows, resulting in branches that lift into an organic-looking curve, with a visible ridge next to the edge that resembles a branch swelling under the surface.
It’s knitted here with a worsted/aran yarn and 4mm needles, and measuring 14cm tall and 11cm wide. However, any weight yarn would do, as long as the needles are the corresponding size. It’s a really quick knit, and a charming addition to your actual yuletide tree!
