The sides of the cosy are made first, then the shaped top worked in a continuous row across both sides. The cable pattern is super easy over 10 rows. I have used smaller needles than usual for the chunky yarn to make a thick fabric for good insulation.

116 yard (100g) will make both the cosy and pompom, for a contrast pompom you will need 25g of yarn which can be either double knit or chunky.

The cosy is stretchy so will fit a smaller teapot if necessary. Or you could use regular chunky which will also make a smaller item.

you will need no 5mm and 5.5mm knitting needles and a cable needle
