What can you do with one skein of Chunky Cakes yarn? This poncho uses exactly one skein of Chunky Cakes, quick and easy, perfect for a child.

Want to make a bigger or smaller poncho? No problem! Measure the head circumference, and adjust the number of stitches to cast on. As long as the head can pass through the poncho, it will be a comfortable wear. To make a bigger poncho, you obviously need more than one skein. Stop the gradual increase when the flare is wide enough. Add a few more rounds of garter edging, the scalloped edge will hold the poncho from curling.

The construction is simple. You can easily substitute with other yarn. Use the pattern as your basic poncho template. With some creativity, you will be amazed by how much you can do with this basic poncho.
