A “quick to knit” cardigan for baby or child with optional methods for closure: button(s), ribbons or tie cords. 1 strand of chunky or 2 x strands of double knit yarn can be used. Experimenting with mixing colours in DK can be interesting. I have found that mixing a self striping yarn with a matching paler yarn produces a soft striping effect. Whilst mixing a darker matching yarn produces a more vibrant stripe. Mixing pale colours with white or cream looks really nice and 2 strands of “spotty” or “speckled” yarn intensifies the speckles. The possibilities just go on and on…….. :)
