This hat is knitted from the bottom up. I used 4 DPNs but you can use 5 or whatever you are comfortable with. Or you can use the magic loop method.
This will fit toddlers 1-4 and probably most babies 6+ months. Depends, children’s head sizes can vary so much! This fits my 1 year old’s head perfect, but she had surgery to make her skull bigger so that’s probably not a good gauge. The type of yarn you use will also make a difference in fit and stretch. If you’re concerned, take time to save time and get gauge!
