Chunky Lace Bonnet
Chunky Lace Bonnet features an allover textured lace pattern, earflaps and i-cord ties. The bobbles in the lace pattern only appear on the front of the bonnet to ensure a comfortable and non-bumpy feeling for the baby while laying in the stroller.
Chunky Lace Bonnet is worked from the bottom up using 2 strands of Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk held together throughout. If the bonnet is worked using a wool yarn, it will be nice and warm on colder days. However, the bonnet can also be worked using silk or cotton for a cooler summer version.
You start by working the ribbed brim and shaping the earflaps with German short rows. Afterwards, work is continued in the round following the charts. After the bonnet is finished, you pick up stitches from each earflap and work the two i-cord ties. The lace pattern is charted only.
