This is a quick pair of booties if you have a chunky yarn. For girls it has a unique mini shell stitch at the opening. The shape is nice with a back heel and wider toe and a flat bottom.
The suggested hook for the yarn is a K-hook but I prefer to go a little smaller when making booties so it becomes stiffer like a shoe instead of sock.
This yarn is an odd yarn because it is very soft yet splits very easily and is so chunky that every stitch is very visible. This pattern is just for chunky yarn.
