A simple messy bun beanie which is knitted flat and then seamed.

Stitches needed are knit, purl, rib and bamboo stitch.

Bamboo stitch is explained at the start of the pattern.

One size fits most adult heads.

Chunky wool which is suitable for 8-9mm needles works best.

One 100g ball of WI Soft and Chunky is plenty and you will have about 1/3 of a ball left at the end.

Other chunky yarns work as well but will give a different finish to that pictured.
