Chunky Ribbed Hat
In Wisconsin, our winter days can be cold, frozen, wet, snowy, windy, and more! This versatile, beginner friendly, and quick to make chunky crochet hat is the perfect choice for any blustery day. The hat works up quickly with a simple ribbing stitch. When the brim is folded up it has a slight slouch and turns into a full size slouch hat with the brim folded down.
The sample shown in this pattern is made with Andeamo super bulky peruvian wool & alpaca yarn blend by Jody Long in color 21, Forest. Andeamo comes in 175yd/200g hanks. The sample shown is a one-skein project with about 20g of surplus. Other wool super bulky yarns that are approximately 70-90 yards per 100g are easily substituted within the suggested gauge.
