This cheeky chap was a sell out success at Yarndale and The Knitting and Stitching show and is knitted flat using brown chunky yarn. His sparkly red breast is knitted separately and sewn on after the body has been sewn together.

You will also need some 12mm black safety eyes and some black DK for his beak and legs.

Why not make him into a festive doorstop by filling the foot of a sock with rice, tie around the end of the foot, fold the rest of the sock over and place inside the bottom of the robin, placing stuffing around it.

He is a simple knit and the only slightly complicated part is the short row shaping which makes the tail stick upwards, making him look more cheerful! However, the technique is fully explained.
