Cicadigan
AAAAAAHH (that’s a cicada screaming, and me screaming in excitement about this cardigan!).
This sweater features two construction options- a v neck with long sleeves, and a crew neck with short sleeves. You can mix and match between the two as desired- the construction differs once you split for sleeves, but both are worked the same until then. Please reference the schematics in the pattern to identify which pattern you would like to knit, and you can mix and match the design elements. There are options to add buttons and buttonholes, or to knit the sweater without. Both are comfortable and similarly quick to knit, with a little bit of shaping around the collar to ensure it sits flat.

Yardage
I have given estimates for yardage based on my own two versions: long sleeve and short sleeve. Adding gussets, waist shaping, and additional length to the garment will increase the amount of yarn that you use, and please plan accordingly!

Sizes
Measurements are given for the finished garment. The cardigan is designed to fit with around 2-6” 5-15cm of positive ease for the body+chest. It is impossible for me to give an accurate estimation of ease for all bodies with the number of modifications I have for this sweater, but please read through the pattern before beginning!
Sizes: 1, (2, 3, 4, 5, 6), {7, 8, 9}
Finished Chest Circumference: 36.25, (38.75, 45, 48.5, 54, 58), {62.75, 67.5, 71.75}”

These sizes correspond to measurements for the Crafty Yarn Council’s XS, (S, M, L, XL, 2XL), {3XL, 4XL, 5XL}
There are schematics within the pattern featuring details for added gussets if you desire shaping at the waist or chest.
