The Ciel Sweater is worked top-down in the round.

It begins with a wide ribbed collar, followed by German short rows to raise the back neckline and improve the fit. The raglan is then shaped with regular increases. The body and sleeves are separated and worked individually.

The pattern is currently available in one size only.

Ease
The sweater is designed with approximately 20–30 cm (8–12”) of positive ease. It is intended to be worn off the shoulders and features a slightly oversized fit.

Gauge
21 sts × 28 rnds = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4”)
Stockinette stitch, using 4 mm (US 6) needles, after blocking.

Suggested Yarn
450 g of yarn ≈ 1008 m (1102 yd)
(e.g. Bambu by Zeeman: 100 g = 224 m / 245 yd)
Recommended equivalent yarn:
Light DK / heavy sport weight yarn (approximately 220 m / 100 g or 240 yd / 100 g).

Suggested Needles
3 mm (US 2.5) — 40 cm (16”) circular needle for the collar
4 mm (US 6) — 80–100 cm (32–40”) circular needle for the body
3.5 mm (US 4) — for finishing details

On commence par un col large en côtes, puis des rangs raccourcis sont travaillés afin de rehausser le dos et améliorer le maintien. Le raglan est ensuite formé par des augmentations régulières. Le corps et les manches sont séparés et tricotés individuellement.

Le patron est proposé en taille unique pour le moment.

Aisance :
Le modèle présente une aisance positive d’environ 20 à 30 cm. Il est conçu pour être porté épaules dénudées avec une coupe légèrement ample.
