It is important to be able to sync your brioche gauge and ribbing gauge--the brioche gauge should have half the number of stitches as your ribbing gauge.

This hat, in the adult size and gauge written, takes approximately 200 yards of the main color and 100 yards of the alternate color, not including a pompom.
