This beautiful and exotic looking shawl is begun at the center point and expands outward with a zig-zag stripe pattern. The tassels are formed as you knit by cutting a length of yarn at the beginning and end of each row, eliminating the need to weave in any ends (yay!)

• #47 Terra cotta (CC1), 1 skein

Needles Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm): 24” (60 cm) circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); ruler; size K/10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
Gauge 18½ sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

ERRATA
In Row 2, the purl stitches should be knit stitches. The row should read as follows:
Row 2 (RS): Knit to one st before marker, KFB, pass marker, * KFB, K 9, S2KP, K 8, KFB, pass marker, rep from * to last marker, KFB, knit to end –2 sts increased.
