Like most cowls, this one is knit in the round. A series of “cinches” pull the center of the cowl inward, leaving the top and bottom edges loose. The result is a sturdy, ultra-cozy cowl that holds in place around your neck.

Because the base is stockinette, this is an easy-going project. Just knit endlessly until you get to the cinches. Each cinch is knit over two rounds, and the repeating pattern can be mastered by knitters of any skill level.
