This mini scarf is a simple, satisfying knit with a lovely squishy 1x1 rib, neat i-cord edging and softly tapered ends. Knitted flat from end to end, it’s a wonderfully rhythmic project that’s easy to pick up whenever you have a little knitting time.

At 105cm / 41 inches long, it’s designed to wrap twice around your neck, giving you plenty of cosy warmth without the bulk of a traditional scarf. At just 10cm / 4 inches wide, it sits comfortably around your neck without feeling like you’re wrestling with a blanket.

SKILL LEVEL:

Easy / Confident Beginner

You’ll need to be comfortable with basic knit and purl stitches. The pattern also includes the techniques needed to create the i-cord edging and tapered ends.

YARN:
You’ll need approximately 215m / 235yds, or one ball of Rowan Fine Tweed Haze.

But you don’t have to use Rowan Fine Tweed Haze. The pattern is designed for DK-weight yarn, so you can choose another favourite DK yarn instead.

It’s also a rather good excuse to use that special skein that’s been sitting in your stash waiting for the right project.

NEEDLES:
6mm/US size 10/UK size 4

GAUGE:
14 sts x19 rows in 1x1 rib on 6mm needles.
