Cinnamon Swirl is deep winter warm thanks to its volumuous trio of squooshy, soft cables. An icord edging seamlessly blends with the cables while keeping a tidy selvedge. Generous, customizable length to wrap, drape or tuck inside your coat.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.

CONSTRUCTION

The scarf is cast on and then worked flat. It is then finished with a complimentary bind-off. I HIGHLY recommend that you use the suggested cast-on and bind-off methods. (In this case, I don’t recommend the matching cable bind-off as it twists the yarn too tightly and does not look as nice.)

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Cable cast-on
  • Cable stitches - 5/5RC, 5/5RPPC
  • Increase and decrease stitches - K2TOG, RLI
  • Knit and purl stitches
  • Slipped stitches

INSTRUCTIONS

The pattern is fully charted, but also includes complete written directions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern.

YARN NOTES

This lovely yarn has unfortunately been discontinued for some time. However, there are MANY yarns out there that will substitute nicely and the pattern is very forgiving as gauge is NOT critical.

Avoid highly variegated yarn as it will obscure the cable pattern.

ADDITIONAL NOTIONS

You will also need:
Tapestry/blunt yarn needle
T-pins (for blocking)
