The colors of the yarns that you use circle the long center cast-on. This is a good pattern for using stash, yarns produced in a spinning workshop, or commercial yarns with long repeats. The gauge is driven by the yarns and the needles which you choose. A swatch to try the pattern and yarns is vital.

Because it is worked in the round, it will get longer at the narrow ends as well as wider. 12 rounds will make a standard scarf, 24 - 30 rounds will make a shawl.

Many textures and varieties of yarn can be combined in a single scart.
