Pattern description from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts: “This blanket is knit entirely in garter stitch in seven strips of seven colors. Although one person can certainly knit this blanket all by him or herself, my idea in designing it was for a circle of friends (or family members) to collaborate and knit it for the newborn child of someone close to all of them. In order to make this blanket in a hurry, it is best knit by seven people, each doing one strip that will later be sewn together by the quickest finisher in the bunch. With everyone working on it at once, it’s sure to be ready on time!”
