I wrote the Circle of Pines cable knit hat pattern a few years ago and have had a vision for the headband since then but have not written it up until now. I envisioned a chunky cable surrounded by slipped stitches, similar to the hat design, but horizontal. I was so excited to watch this come to life, and I love how it turned out.

This headband features slipped stitches and easy cables, knit flat on big needles, and then seamed in the back.

The headband pattern is written for two sizes, one thinner and one wider option, with simple suggestions on how to customize the sizing a bit. I hope you find it as beautiful and useful as I do.
