Choosing your size and fit: The stated measurements are for the actual garment, choose a size with your desired ease, at least 2-5” / 5-12 cm positive ease is recommended.

Sample Information: The sample is size B worn on a 34” / 86cm bust with 3”/8 cm positive ease and used 350g knitting for olive heavy merino and 100g soft silk mohair both in the colourway ‘mushroom rose’.

Yarn: Sample knitted in Knitting for olive heavy merino (125m / 50g) held with soft silk mohair (225m / 25g).

Yardage:

Heavy merino: 320 (360, 400, 440, 480) (540, 580, 620, 660) grams

Mohair: 90 (100, 115, 120, 130) (150, 160, 170, 180) grams

Each strand: 800 (900, 1000, 1100, 1200) (1350, 1450, 1550, 1650) meters

Needles: 5 mm & 5.5 mm circular needles and/or DPNs
Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge.

Gauge: 16 stitches & 22 rows per 4” / 10 cm in stockinette after blocking on larger needles.

Notions: 3 spare cables or waste yarn to hold the back and shoulders, selection of clip on sliding stitch markers.

Difficulty: Confident Beginner. This pattern requires only basic knit, purl and simple increase stitches. However other construction techniques are required including casting on additional stitches and picking up stitches. The sweater is knitted flat and in the round.
