This shawl is knit from one corner to the other with a built-in garter-stitch border along the top and looped fringing along the bottom edge. Because you are working from tip to tip, you don’t need to worry about gauge. (When substituting yarns, use a needle two sizes larger than recommended to make the fabric light and drapey.)
