There are hundreds of species of sharks in the ocean, each with its own unique biome and adaptations. Even with their vast differences, there are also some important similarities among species. Sharks have skeletons made of cartilage and extra smooth scales that help propel them through the water. They serve an important role at the top of the food chain keeping prey species in check from overpopulation and from overeating plant-based food sources.

Clancy, Jr. is named after a large stuffed shark I had as a child. Clancy was a great companion on many adventures, and I hope Clancy, Jr. can join you on adventures of your own!

Clancy Jr is a quick knit worked primarily in the round. Because vertical stripes are difficult to achieve in the round, Clancy’s blue body and white tummy are knit as two separate pieces and sewn together at the end.
