Thread used was 100% Egyptian Cotton 4ply from Create
Handmade (ball weight 50gm - 140m) since completing pattern this yarn is less available. An alternative would be DMC perle coton #4.
Hook 2.5mm but you can adjust to your
tension for a flat coaster.
Pattern works in treble stitch, increasing in
regular intervals for a circle then completed
with three rows for embellishment.
Coaster sample – 105mm/4 ¼ “
Tip: if you choose to make with another 4ply
cotton rather than thread, stop the base
increases at the row 4, then do last three rows
beginning with the loop row. (Size may vary)
1 x ball, 50g for six coasters in total.
Additional sparkly thread to compliment final
edge may be used, about 1m each.
