This seamless classic Christmas stocking is perfect for the holidays! It works up quickly and sturdily in an acrylic worsted weight yarn, so you can easily create a matching set for your family.
The color combinations in the pattern also allow for endless variations to personalize each stocking, even in large families who may have names with the same first initial.

The intarsia initial is knit in the round by working back and forth across the right side and wrong side of the stocking, adding and decreasing an extra stitch at the beginning and end of each round. This technique allows you to work the whole stocking in one piece, with no seaming required.
The charts at the end of the pattern include every letter of the alphabet so that you can personalize this stocking to all your family members! In one pattern, you’ll receive everything you need to create an unlimited number of unique -- but matching! -- stockings for your family.

Materials:
US size 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles or US size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needles if using magic loop
Size 4 worsted weight acrylic yarn in two colors of your choice. I used Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Acrylic Yarn, Burgundy and White. One skein (7 oz/198 g; 364 yd/333 m) of each is plenty for at least two stockings.
