My goal was to design a pair of crochet socks that had a “knit” look, using only crochet stitches. Using the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch. I was able to make the Classic Crochet Socks look knit while allowing for a simple-seamless design. The Classic Crochet Socks are worked from the toe up. We begin with the magic circle in the round, working the foot of the sock, skipping over the heel and working the sock height, finishing off with the heel.

What makes these socks so versatile is the method I decided to use (that I wish I would have used when designing the Cottage Socks). By starting at the toe, you are easily able to work the foot-length to fit your foot perfectly. In turn, this method also allows you to work the sock height as high or low as you want. Adjustments are given throughout the pattern to customize your socks.
