These crocheted mittens aren’t difficult to make and work up fast. You can easily whip them up in a weekend! Made from the top down, in fingering weight yarn, they avoid a lot of the design flaws common to crocheted mitten patterns. While not as elastic as their knitted counterparts, these mittens feel good to wear without being bulky or stiff. You can make a pair of the smaller size using 50 grams of sock yarn, making them the perfect project for a single skein of handspun or hand dyed, luxury yarn!

Please note: The first pair of these I made were with a size D hook that was 3 mm. A 3.25 mm size D hook should work just fine, but test your gauge before beginning.
