This is a knit-look crochet ribbed hat pattern for men, women and kids, made out of a rectangle. It was written using standard US terminology.

APPROXIMATE SIZE OF THIS CROCHET MAN’S HAT:
The pattern has instructions for 3 sizes and instructions to adapt the pattern to other yarn types and hooks sizes.

Sizes: Older Child/Teen, Small Adult and Large Adult. The hat pictured in this listing will be approximately 8.5” (21.5 cm) tall and the circumference 21” inches (53 cm), considering you meet gauge.

YARN USED:
I used Worsted weight (#4), I Love This Yarn by Hobby Lobby, 100% acrylic.
Color used was was #74 Blue Spruce. And the amount was 3.22 oz (92 g), or 164 yds (150 m).
Note: This yarn comes in 355 yds (325 m) skeins, which is more than enough to make any size in the size chart.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS TO CROCHET THIS BEANIE:
5.5 mm (US I-9) hook
Yarn Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Stitch marker (optional)
Pom-Pom (optional)

Gauge:
13 sts x 18 rows of the pattern = 4” x 4” (10 cm), un-stretched and before washing.
Meeting gauge is crucial if you’re not comfortable adjusting the size yourself. But the pattern can be easily adapted to different yarn weights and hook sizes if you’re comfortable doing so.
