This pattern can be made to any size (instructions included). You can use any yarn though I like to use 10 ply cotton to keep it summery but still having a more luxurious expensive look. Any hook size to suit your yarn. I use either a size 4, 4.5 or 5 hook normally.
For a small pram sized blanket I used approximately 3 1/2 balls of BWM cotton 10 ply yarn. This is approximately 700-800g. Obviously for larger blankets you need more yarn. The blanket pattern includes an extra border option so you have the more gender neutral option and a more feminine option and it completely changes the look of the blanket.
