This pattern is graded for sizes S-XL.

Size | Head Circumference

S — 20 ½ - 21 ¼ in (52.1 - 54 cm)

M — 21 ¼ - 22 ¼ in (54 - 56.5 cm)

L — 22 ¼ - 23 ¾ in (56.5 - 60.3 cm)

XL — 23 ¾ - 25 in (60.3 - 63.5 cm)

A size M may also be worked for a standard one size hat.  With a brim of 4 inches (10 cm), the folded height is approx. 8.5 inches (22 cm) and the flat width is approx. 8 inches (20 cm).  This size will reasonably accommodate a head circumference of 21-24 inches (53-60 cm).
