What does a Classy Bitch do when she goes to New York? She goes to Purl Soho, of course. And, she buys their Merino Cashmere Bloom Helix, in the Salt & Pepper colorway, and creates an awesomely tufted cable hat and cowl set. This is my very own personal set of fabulousness. Cables are so classy, so is cashmere, and so is this set! Have so much fun with this! Both the hat and cowl are knitted in the round, on both size 5 & size 6 16-inch circular needles. The cables, within the garter bands, create the most beautiful tufted cables! This set is absolutely unisex. Get creative with your fiber selection!
The gauge should be 6 stitches per inch. This pattern is easily adaptable (with notes included) with other yarn weights and needle sizes, that will give you size options. You will need up to 2 skeins of Purl Soho Merino Cahsmere Bloom Helix, or a DK weight of your choice. You can easily hold two strands of fingering weight, together, and worsted weight would work just fine, too!
