Knitting pattern for a boxy sweater with an oversized fit, drop shoulders, a deep v neck and a double folded collar in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL

Structure:
The sweater is worked top down in garter stitch and starts with shaping the shoulders and the v neck with raglan increases along the shoulders. From the beginning onwards there are worked additional increases to shape the (deep) v neck. As soon as the required number of stitches is reached, the two front parts and the back part are worked separately to shape the armholes. After casting on new stitch under each armpit, all three parts are again worked together, but the sweater is still worked back and forth in rows as the v neck stays open for a couple of rows. When there are finally all increases for the v neck worked in, the sweater is closed to the round and then finished with a hem in 2x2 ribbed pattern. Afterwards, the sleeve stitches are picked up along the armholes and the sleeves are then worked flat (and sewn together in the end) or in the round. Both sleeves are finished with a cuff in 2x2 ribbed pattern too. In the end, stitches are picked up along the neckline and the double folded collar in 2x2 ribbed pattern is worked.
The fit of the sweater is very oversized, which is emphasized by the drop shoulders, the wide body and the wide sleeves. The length is cropped. The highlight of the simple sweater is the deep v neck, which is emphasized by the double folded collar in 2x2 ribbed pattern.
