The Clematis beret is made vertically, flat, in one piece. Repeating panels are connected as you go. The stitch pattern is created using short rows that are smoothly integrated into the ribbing. Sewn with one stitch with a tapestry needle.

Plateau diameter is based on a foundation chain:

  1. Panel 39 – chain 36.
  2. Panel 46 – chain 46.
  3. Panel 53 – chain 53.

The choice can depend on your head circumference, the gauge swatch measurements, and your preferences.

Language: English
Crochet level: Intermediate.

You need to know how to make a chain, a slip stitch, a yarn over slip stitch, a half-double crochet, and an extended half-double crochet. To be ready to learn some stitch modifications that are creating the stitch pattern and to be able to follow the instructions carefully.

Inside:
• The pattern on 30 pages contains charts, written instructions, links to special stitch videos, and step-by-step photo and mute video tutorials with English karaoke-style subtitles on the gauge swatch and the connecting stitch.
• Convenient navigation inside the pattern.
Size: not specified. The pattern is based on your calculations.

Hence:

  • Prepare the gauge and take its measurements.
  • Make your calculations.
  • Choose one of the 3 provided Instructions.

    Materials:

  1. Yarn suitable for a 4 mm – 5.5 mm crochet hook. 100 - 150g Solid colours, tweeds, hand-dyed yarns. Variegated yarns will obscure the stitch pattern but can add other interesting effects. Z twist yarns make very different stitch definitions, and not all of them can be recommended.
  2. Tapestry needle for the finishing stitch and weaving in.
