Gosling, Cadet x 2 hanks
MATERIALS 
US size L/11 (8mm) crochet hook 
US size M/13 (9mm) crochet hook 
Stitch markers 
Yarn needle 
One 1 ½” / 4 cm button
SIZE 
22” around x 9.75” tall 
24” around x 10” tall
GAUGE 
With L hook: 14 Sl Sts = 4” 15 pattern rows = 4” 
Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.

The Ch-1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a st. 
The crown of the hat is worked in rows that are joined by a seam, then the Button Tab Band is added last. 
Decreases in the crown of the hat are worked on one side by working across a set number of Sts, then ignoring the rest. 
When working Button Tab Band, be sure to work Sl Sts very loosely.
