I’m very excited to release the first design in my Connemara Collection!

Clifden is a beautiful town on the West Coast of Ireland. It has a so much history, and stunning views from the bay.
One special place will always have my heart, Bishop’s bench, at Malmore House. From there you can see the whole bay, and spend a cozy morning watching the sailboats.

My sample is knitted in one of my favorite yarns, Bio Shetland by BC Garn. It is a fingering weight yarn, with a wide range of earthy and cozy colors.

The colors I used for my sample are listed below:
(MC) Straw: 265-820 yds/242-850 m
(CC1) Mud: 175-298 yds/251-265 m
(CC2) Ice: 102-270 yds/93-256 m
(CC3) Beige: 102-270 yds/93-256 m
(CC4): Turquoise 80-175 yds/73-160 m

Total yardage for the top as modeled:
Yards: 724(775, 850, 925, 1025) {1100, 1200, 1300, 1400} (1475, 1575, 1750, 1849)
Meters: 662(710, 780, 850, 940){1010, 1100, 1190, 1280}(1350, 1440, 1510, 1691)

This piece is knitted on size US 4/3.5 mm needles, and makes a great stash buster project too!

The construction is tailored for ease of knitting. It’s knitted from the bottom up, in the round. The shaping of the under arms is worked in the round, then steeked. The straps and armhole edging are worked flat then sewn on. Over all it’s a quick project that makes a fun and cozy addition to mid season attire.

It’s sized for adults, and written size inclusive with 13 sizes:
Bust sizes: 29, 32, 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50, 53, 56, 59, 62, 65”/73, 82, 89, 96, 104, 112, 119, 127, 135, 142, 150, 157, 165 cm

See the photos for a schematic and measurement guide.

I have enjoyed wearing my tank over blouses and turtlenecks during the colder months, and now that it is warming up in the Northern Hemisphere I have been wearing it just as a tank too.
