Climate Stripe Scarf

This scarf is a climate stripe (or warming stripe) for the years 1880 to 2020. It includes 141 rows in different shades of red and blue, comparing them to the 20th Century global average temperature.

There are two “Blue” shades and five “Red” shades, either side of the white average temperature, clearly showing temperatures have increased. Yardage requirements are:
Medium Blue: 60 yds
Light Blue: 125 yds
White: 95 yds
Light Coral: 60 yds
Medium Coral: 50 yds
Dark Coral: 30 yds
Bright Red: 30 yds
Dark Red: 20 yds

I HAVE DONE ALL THE MATH! For the math-phobic, all you need to do is follow the pattern. For the math-philes, I have included some more detailed information on the last page of the pattern, including the temperature intervals and various interesting data points.
