Closed Toe Covers
Closed toe covers.
I’m making these for a dear friend who is opening an acupuncture business. She wanted something to keep her clients toes warm, but where she could still access parts of their feet for needling.
Cast on 32 stitches, join for in the round. k2p2 rib for 8 rows, then continue in knit.
Knit in stockinette for another 25 rows (33 rows total).
Begin decreases (decreasing on one side for little toes).
Knit 13 stitches, pm, then k2tog (2x), pm, knit to end.
repeat this decrease 4 more times, for a total of five decreases (22 stitches).
next row: k2tog, k to marker, k2tog (2x), knit to last two stitches and k2tog.
Bind off using kitchener. If you haven’t used that bind off before, it’s super easy if you follow these instructions: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer04/FEATtheresasum04.html
make two.
