The Cloud Cable Bag is a sweet crescent shaped bag with cable details, a shoulder strap and drawstring closure. The bag is knitted in sections. The front and back are knitted from the bottom up, and then the moss stitch strap is knitted to the desired length. The pieces are seamed together and the bag is fastened with a draw cord. The bag can be lined to provide additional structure.

The bag is one size, measuring approximately 25 cm wide × 16 cm tall (excluding strap). Meeting the suggested gauge isn’t critical but will affect the size of the finished bag. The strap can be knitted to your desired length - keep in mind that if it’s not lined it will stretch once in use.

You can use any bulky weight yarn. The white bag in the photos is made from thick-and-thin handspun yarn, while the brown bag is made from exactly one skein of Cascade 128 Superwash in the colourway Ginger.

For the drawstring you can use a purchased cord or ribbon, or you can make your own i-cord (instructions linked in the pattern). I suggest using a thinner yarn, e.g. sport or DK weight for your i-cord.
