Cloud illusions is a simple little double-stranded cowl knit in the round and worked with 2 different colors of sport-weight yarn at the same time to create a neat marled affect. It also features an easy chevron eyelet stitch panel. This is a great project especially if you are brand new to working with 2 strands of yarn held together (i.e, double-stranding)!

Video tutorials are provided for how to double-strand as well as how to work the eyelet stitch.

Knit in the beautiful Manos del Uruguay Serena, it’s the perfect weight and drape for springtime. But it’s also a great stash-busting project - have fun playing around with different color combos!

Gauge: 19 sts & 26 rnds = 4”/10 cm in St st in the rnd, with 2 strands of yarn held together.
(Exact gauge is not critical but it will affect your finished measurement and yarn usage).

Sport-weight yarn, approx 125 yds of each color (2 colors held together throughout). Shown in Serena by Manos del Uruguay (60% alpaca/40% pima cotton; 50g = 170 yds), colors Biscotti and Seashell, 1 skein each.
My pattern tips page (link provided in pattern) provides other yarn ideas and tips.
