This hat is crocheted from the top down, starting with a foundation chain shaped to form the cat ears. The ear shape is created by working taller stitches at the corners and then gradually decreasing stitches to transition smoothly into the crown and body of the hat. Once the crown reaches the correct size, the hat is worked straight down to the desired length. The pattern is written in UK crochet terms and worked in joined rounds (each round is finished with a slip stitch).

This is an oversized hat. Suitable for adults with a head circumference of 53-56cm. If the head circumference is less than 53cm, it is recommended to use a smaller crochet hook for the hat.
