Cloudscape Shawl is reminiscent of clouds floating through the sky, and is my DK take on the Tour les Jours Wrap.
Similar in its shaping but with a few more design elements. Eyelets and welts are sure to keep you interested while knitting this up. Exclusively using German short rows, you will never want to knit short rows any other way!

This Shawl was designed to use up full skeins of yarn with very little leftover.

Yarns and yardage used:

The original design used 3 colors of DK yarn as follows:

Color A: Peekaboo Yarns DK, 75% SW merino/25% nylon, 100 grams = 237 yards/216 meters in color Alchemist

Color B: Yarn Habits DK cashmere, 80% SW merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon, 100 grams = 231 yards/211 meters in color Tread

Color C: Black Cat Fibers Essential DK, 100% SW merino, 100 grams = 231 yards/211 meters, in color Sleep with the Fishes

Or 3 skeins of similar yarns using approximately:

Color A: 210-250 yards/192-229 meters
Color B: 220-260 yards/201-238 meters
Color C: 220-260 yards/201-238 meters

Needles:

US size 9/5.5 mm 40”/100 cm circular
Optional: US size 11/8 mm needle for bind off

Gauge:

Please note that this is knit at a loose gauge. Approximately 15 sts by 24 rows equals 4”/10 cm square in garter stitch after blocking and left to relax off of the blocking mats, or 4.5 sts equals 1”/2.5 cm unblocked.
Please note if you choose to knit at a tighter or looser gauge, it will affect the amount of yarn used.

Finished measurement:

Approximately 101”/257 cm by 17”/43 cm

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.

I look forward to seeing all the yarn and color combinations you can come up with.

Enjoy!*
